Immanuel Bible Church Leadership
This church recognizes Christ as its Head and the Scriptures as its only authority (Colossians 1:18, 2 Timothy 3:16). Under that authority, the oversight of this church is vested in a body of elders who operate in concert with the deacons and the congregation.
IBC Ministry Initiatives 2017-2020
On January 28, 2017 the General Council of Elders of Immanuel Bible Church adopted the following ministry initiatives for the term of 2017 – 2020:
Initiative 1: Evangelism
Strategic Goal: Each member of Immanuel Bible Church is equipped for and engaged in personal evangelism in our communities, workplaces, and homes.
Initiative 2: Prayer
Strategic Goal: Each member of Immanuel Bible Church has a biblical understanding of prayer and a commitment to pray privately and corporately.
Initiative 3: Shepherding
Strategic Goal: Each elder of Immanuel Bible Church is equipped with a biblical understanding of and engaged in shepherding the congregation of Immanuel Bible Church, and that each member of Immanuel Bible Church is involved in a shepherding group.
Initiative 4: Property Development
Strategic Goal: Resolution of existing IBC property concerns related to Kinchloe Property and Immanuel’s Hope facilities in order to maximize future ministry potential.
Initiative 5: Secondary and Post-Graduate Christian Education
Strategic Goal: Chart a path forward with regard to Immanuel Christian School opportunities for secondary education and to further expand The Master’s Seminary - DC Campus offerings.
Initiative 6: Financial Asset Stewardship
Strategic Goal: Retire the totality of existing construction loan and replenish IBC cash reserves for additional ministry opportunities.
