Foundry Women's Bible Study

Monday, October 26th, 7pm-9pm

We are really excited to start this group as a place for Foundry women to come, build community, and grow in God’s word. It will be lead by Darlene Crabtree, Brittany Lawrence, and Stephanie Hairgrove. We will meet at the Hairgrove’s house (in Burke) twice a month on Monday nights. Darlene and Stephanie both have a monthly Monday night commitment, so for the time being we will pick two non-consecutive Mondays a month, so that means it won’t necessarily be an every other Monday thing. Because of that we will provide the dates for a couple months at a time.

Our first meeting will be Monday, October 26th from 7-9pm. We plan to share dinner and testimonies the first night to get to know each other.

Brittany will teach the next time (11/16) on discipleship and then we’ll move into studying a book of the Bible (11/30).

Reformation Day Party

Thursday, October 29th, 7pm @ IBC Room A207-A211

John 3:16 says, "sic enim dilexit Deus mundum ut Filium suum unigenitum daret ut omnis qui credit in eum non pereat sed habeat vitam aeternam."
Now, the reason you can't read that, is because you can't read Latin, and neither could most people in the early 16th-century. It wasn't until the protestant reformation happened that people could get copies of the Bible in their vernacular, and now we have it in ours! Great figures in the reformation like Martin Luther, John Calvin, William Tyndale, and many others, helped shape what our faith looks like today. Come celebrate, with us, the rich history of our faith that professes that God's Word is our highest authority and that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone for the glory of God alone! We will have games and a costume contest too so come dressed as your favorite reformer and you might just win!
