Nothing impacts the spiritual and vocational lives of people like hands-on ministry through a mission and service experience. Immanuel Bible Church’s Community Outreach Ministry, teamed with the Center for Student Missions (CSM), will provide you a four-day trip that will connect you with a variety of local ministries and helping organizations that are reaching out to those in need in Washington, D.C.
When you come on an Urban Immersion trip, you will work hard, stay busy and give much. You will be amazed at how much more you receive by being Jesus’ hands and feet in the city. You will experience, in a powerful and new way that it is better to give than receive. The ministry and evangelism opportunities are challenging and diverse. These opportunities include feeding programs, working with children in a variety of settings, visiting impoverished shut-ins and serving at Central Union Mission along with spending time in parts of the nation’s capital many of us have never seen before.
About CSM – The Center for Student Missions, established in 1988, blends a passion for the city with a heart for the groups who come to serve. CSM is a full service provider with a housing site in the heart of downtown. You will spend your days at various ministry locations and enjoy dinner every evening at one of the local ethnic restaurants. Learn more about CSM at www.csm.org.
