Mission Statement
To give gospel-centered support and comfort to sisters in Christ who are struggling in the postpartum period (baby 0-2 year old).
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
Group Description
The Postpartum Support Group at Immanuel Bible Church is designed for women who are IBC members or attendees and are struggling in the postpartum period. Our mission is to give gospel-centered support and comfort to sisters in Christ through the reading of Scripture, shared experience, and practical coping mechanisms. Postpartum, for our purposes, means that you have a child in the age range of 0-2 (could be your first or 6th!). Discussion topics will include, but are not limited to:
- Postpartum Anxiety and Depression
- Feelings of overwhelm, inadequacy
- Expectations of new motherhood
