Ministry Mission Statement
Spiritual Mentoring is an intentional relationship that connects women who desire to grow in their relationship with Christ with spiritually mature women who have the same desire and who also have a passion to walk alongside another woman in her spiritual journey. The goal is that both women should grow in their faith as they seek to glorify God in all aspects of their life.
The ministry seeks to follow the Titus 2 model.
“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” Titus 2:3-5
Ministry Highlights
- Mentees are women who have a desire to grow in her relationship with God and seeks a relationship with a spiritually mature woman.
- Mentees call Immanuel Bible Church their “church home.” Meaning they attend morning worship, participate in the ongoing ministry of Immanuel, and live locally.
- Mentors are members of Immanuel who have completed specific training geared toward a mentoring relationship, have been approved by Immanuel Leadership, and regularly participate in the ministry life of Immanuel.
- Mentoring Cycle typically runs for six months, October-April, and include Mentors & Mentees meeting twice a month in person and connecting by phone/email between meetings. Note: While the cycle for pairing our Mentors & Mentees normally runs from October-April, we pair new Mentees during the year as Mentors are available.
